Nathan Poem (My reading task)

Hello everybody, welcome back to my blog. Today I am going to show you my reading task, my reading task was to make a poem about Nathan and his life/problems.  So first we had to read the story with my reading group called kiwi, it was about nathan and his problems.

Roses are red

Violets are blue

Nathan has gf problems so what could he do?

He stormed out of a meeting and no one missed him

He climbed a mountain and fell in depression

He received a phone call and jumped into action

He found some signal and called for help

“Hi this is Sally would you like some help”

 

The Arrival Pre European (Topic)

Kia Ora, welcome back to my blog. This week in topic we were learning about The Arrival Pre European for the topic. We first had to watch a video about the Mythbusters, after watching the video we had to make an infographic of 5 or maybe more key points. Next we had to watch another video about the Journeys End. After that we had to draw, paint, make lego,make a model, a song, a rap, minecraft or more. I drew a boat.

Flip Digitech

Kamusta, today in digitech we are learning about this program called Flip. Flip is where you can make cool videos, I am going to explain about what we did today.

First of all we had to read what we had to do (The task). After reading the task we had to create our own video explaining, how Rapunzel will know about the world because she has been stuck in the tower for years. After that we publish it to our blog.

For many many years, Rapunzel has been locked away in a tall tower. One day a brave person comes to rescue her. They want to take Rapunzel away with them but she is scared. She has been in the tower for such a long time, that she is apprehensive about going back out into the world. There will have been many changes since she was locked up. She wonders what is life like now? The brave hero hands Rapunzel a magic mirror and tells her that she can ask it any question she likes but she cannot ask…

Restaurant Descriptive Writing

Hello and welcome back to my blog. Today I am sharing my Restaurant Descriptive writing. Descriptive writing is to describe a person, place, thing and a moment in time in such a way that a picture is formed in the reader’s mind. In my writing i have onomatopoeias, adverbs or adjectives or verbs, personification or metaphor similes and more (Etc). We used a padlet to add our ideas in, room 9, 10 and 12 where working together, I haven’t really finished my descriptive writing but I hope you like it.

 

Here is my writing

Sensing the rich, creamy, juicy food as I walked in. The smell of the delicious steak flies into my nostrils and all around the restaurant. BANG BANG BANG and CLANG CLANG CLANG as they bang their forks and knives on the table as they starve for hunger, tummies rumbling like there is an earthquake. Laughter carries over the smell as they chit-chat across the restaurant. Waiters roller skate like ice hockey players trying to serve the food.

 

I walked towards the counter ready to order my food, I roamed past the chairs and reached to order my meal. I saw the chief grinding the knife with metal, fire flakes comes out as it gets sharper and sharper.

Kia Ora, welcome back to my blog. From the past week room 12, 10 & 9 are working together, and we are learning about the history of NZ.  But after we finished history we moved on to Navigation. The 3 ways the Māori people Navigated to NZ are – Waves, Birds, stars & more. We first had to read some articles about Navigation, next we had to research about Navigation, then we had to make an infographic. I made it on Canva.

History about NZ (Board game)

Kia orana, welcome back to my blog. Today I am going to share about my board game. Room 12, 10 & 9 were doing the topic together, we learnt about the history of NZ. Me and my buddies Natui and Jasmine made a board game about NZ. In this game we created some islands, boats, question and cards.
